Thursday Habs Links: Rough night for the Habs on a slow night for the league

Montreal Canadiens Links

The Habs played and lost again last night to the Penguins. They were horrible. Horrible. Rene Bourque scored though, and Peter Budaj almost got in a fight. I’d say it was a weird night, except the Habs losing isn’t weird anymore. Lowlights are here.

Speaking of Bourque, the new team spokesman had some stuff to say after last night’s loss.

They next meet the Red Wings, who eked out two points last night over one of the best teams in the league. Hold me.

At least, Scottish-born, Hab-loving painter Peter Doig still loves the team, and was pretty excited when presented with his Yvan Cournoyer jersey this week in Montreal.

Elsewhere around the NHL

The Canucks are not without their drama.

The Leafs are winning the Stanley Cup! Again.

In a season where television has exploded with more in-depth views of NHL teams than ever before, as of today on CBC we’ll get even more with ‘NHL Revealed: A Season Like No Other’, aptly. Every season is like no other, in my opinion, but I’m not here to split hairs.

P.S. I picked that picture because it looks like MAF is the head of a weird half-Ketchup horse costume, and I’m twelve.
