Montreal Canadiens sign Jan Myšàk to entry-level contract

The Montreal Canadiens have signed forward Jan Myšàk to a three-year entry-level contract.

The contract will start next year and go until the 2023-24 season, but will still be eligible to slide depending on where he spends the season. This year, he remains on an Amateur Try Out contract until the Ontario Hockey League season starts.

Myšàk has two goals in 13 games in the AHL this season, and solidified a spot in the team’s lineup, playing shorthanded and on the power play before suffering an injury that has continued to keep him out of the lineup.

He was drafted 48th overall in the second round of the 2020 NHL Draft. He joins Kaiden Guhle as 2020 picks who have signed their entry-level contracts. He also had two goals and one assist in five games at the World Junior Hockey Championship where he was the captain of the Czech Republic team.
