There’s no word on whether or not he’ll be available for Thursday’s game, but right now the outlook isn’t particularly encouraging.
There seems to be a rather nasty case of the flu in Montreal’s locker room.
It started with Alex Radulov missing time during training camp, and continued when Paul Byron was hit with a pneumonia. Max Pacioretty also caught the flu, and now Price is the latest victim.
For a fan base that has been waiting for Price’s return with bated breath, this setback will definitely worry many, however the flu tends to come and go relatively quickly, as opposed to his previous injuries which required months of recovery time.
If Price misses the opening game, expect Charlie Lindgren to receive a call up from the St. John’s IceCaps.
We’ll update the story once we hear more from the team.
