USA Hockey has finalized its list of 25 players who will head to Gothenburg, Sweden for the 2024 World Junior Hockey Championship. Among them are two Montreal Canadiens prospects, defenceman Lane Hutson and goaltender Jacob Fowler.

Hutson is returning to the tournament after winning bronze in the 2023 event. In seven games, he had four points a year ago, and is expected to be one of the offensive stars this winter. He has eight goals and 12 assists in 15 NCAA game so far this year.

A third-round pick of the Canadiens this summer, Fowler will be getting his second taste of international hockey after competing in last year’s World Junior A Challenge. He he has been consistently strong throughout his hockey career, and will be challenging for starts with returnee Trey Augustine in the American crease. Fowler’s .925 save percentage through 17 games with Boston College helped him earn his spot on the team.

The WJC begins on Boxing Day, when Team USA will start their tournament versus Norway.
