The Stars nearly saw another large lead get erased by the Avalanche, but after getting out to a 4-0 edge, three goals were the most the Avalanche could muster, and an empty-netter secured a needed 5-3 win for the home side. The series has now moved to Ball Arena in Denver, a place where the Avs have only lost 10 times in 43 games since the beginning of the season.

2024 PWHL Playoffs

Montreal controlled the play in Game 1, outshooting Boston 54-26, but could only solve goaltender Aerin Frankel once in a 2-1 overtime loss. The team calling Place Bell home for these playoffs will need to make its chances count in Game 2 to even things up.
