Zachary Fucale reassigned to the ECHL’s Brampton Beast

After being called up to serve as Charlie Lindgren’s backup in what turned out to be the St. John’s IceCaps’ last game of the season, Zachary Fucale has been reassigned to the ECHL where he will rejoin the Brampton Beast’s playoff run.

The Beast were able to grab a 1-0 series lead in their second-round matchup versus the Manchester Monarchs on Thursday, They’ll try to take a 2-0 advantage with Fucale back between the pipes tonight.

After struggling at the start of his professional career, Fucale has turned things around at the end of this season in the AHL. He’s been a key factor in Brampton’s playoff success so far, posting stellar numbers through one series.

Hopefully this is a sign he’s back on his game. With him playing to the level many thought he was capable, with Lindgren and Michael McNiven also in the system, the Montreal Canadiens’ prospect depth at the goaltender position is starting to look very strong.
