2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Game 4: Winnipeg Jets @ Colorado Avalanche

Game 3 went as feared for the Winnipeg Jets versus the best home team from the regular season, a 6-2 loss to give Colorado the series edge. It was another outing with at least five goals allowed for Connor Hellebuyck, but he received little help from his defence as the Avalanche connected cross-crease passes in front of him. The club that won the Jennings Trophy looks far from that form in the post-season, and they desperately need to find a way to rectify that.

Game 4: Vancouver Canucks @ Nashville Predators

VAN leads 2-1

How to watch

Start time: 5:00 PM EDT / 2:00 PM PDT

Vancouver only had 12 shots on goal, but two of those got behind Juuse Saros, and Casey DeSmith held the fort to make them stand up. The Canucks would like to have the chance to close out the series on home ice in Game 5, and that probably requires more time spent in the offensive zone today.

Game 4: New York Rangers @ Washington Capitals

NYR leads 3-0

How to watch

Start time: 8:00 PM EDT / 5:00 PM PDT

Washington scored the first goal of Game 3, but New York posted three unanswered to push their rival to the brink of elimination. Charlie Lindgren may have to steal the win to keep his club alive versus a superior opponent.

Game 4: Edmonton Oilers @ Los Angeles Kings

EDM leads 2-1

How to watch

Start time: 10:30 PM EDT / 7:30 PM PDT
In Canada: Sportsnet (English) TVA Sports (French)
In the U.S.: TBS
Streaming: ESPN+, Sportsnet+

Following a loss in Game 2, the Oilers went right back to the juggernaut form they displayed to end the regular season with a convincing 6-1 victory. The Kings are having a very hard time shutting down the Oilers’ best forwards, and that’s only giving one of the top contenders for the Stanley Cup even more confidence as the series goes on.
