Tuesday Morning Warmup – Pacioretty’s drought breaker was better than Kessel’s

Of all the shots Max Pacioretty has taken this season, the one that busted his goal drought dating back to the last game of the 2011-12 season was probably the worst he’s taken.

Luckily Cam Ward decided that he’s actually Vesa Toskala, and Pacioretty’s goal drought is no more. Kind of funny that both Phil Kessel and Pacioretty took 11 games into the season to hit the net.

You have to admit, the ridiculousness of this goal makes it way better than the goal Kessel scored to end his drought.

Pacioretty’s goal and assist in last night’s game brings him up to 10 points in 11 games played this year, and of course he has his best game of the year production-wise after an injury, because he’s Max Pacioretty.

Is this the start of some serious goal scoring for Patches? We all know he’s due for some personal regression in the positive way.

Now if only Erik Cole could follow suit. I’m sure it’ll come eventually.
