Ice Level with Andrew Berkshire

UPDATE: Listen to the podcast!

Conor McKenna is out once again tonight so it’s yours truly hosting, with James David and Arik Parnass on the panel to discuss the most pressing hockey issues of the day. We’ll be focusing on the Canadiens a lot once again today, as they’re the only team that seems to be doing anything at all.

We’ll discuss the Subban contract and whether it worked out as expected, how he compares to other NHL stars. Should he be the captain of the Habs, or has arbitration ruined that possibility?

Following that, we’ll be chatting with hockey analytics pioneer Rob Vollman about statistics he’s currently developing, his new book, and the public acceptance of analytics by not only broadcasters, but teams.

Finally, with the roster mostly set, it’s time to review Marc Bergevin’s summer moves and decide what kind of job he’s done. Maybe we’ll start out with the rumours of Francis Bouillon negotiating a new contract with the Habs, as crazy as that is.
