Over the summer, we have been dropping a few hints at some exciting changes about to unfold both here at Eyes On the Prize and our parent company, SBNation.
In a short period of time, the all new and improved SB Nation United will be unveiled with an exciting new layout design. The rest of the EOTP team and myself have had some time to explore the Beta testing phase, and we are looking forward to presenting it to you.
Here are some key talking points that you will see on the new EOTP and SB Nation United community,
- SB Nation United is going to make our sites load faster and run better meaning you can get to the content you want faster.
- SB Nation United is going to make sure that you’re seeing the best and brightest content up front with our flexible layout, modern design and reduction of clutter.
- SB Nation United is going to make the experience on our sites run seamlessly from every platform, whether mobile, tablet or computer. No matter where you are, the experience will not change.
- SB Nation United will not take away or change any of the community elements you love like FanPosts and FanShots and GameThreads.
Following the jump you can see some of the new and layouts that will appear on EOTP. Our editor format gives us the option of a multiple story cover page, offering up to 5 feature stories to link to.
Something that we are really looking forward to sharing is the “Story Stream,” enabling us to update the reader on the latest news updates, such as trades, signings, in-game stories and other breaking news.
We will also be partnered up with United’s in house newsdesk, allowing them to post any related content direct to EOTP as it happens
Features such as Fan Shots and Game Threads will still be an integral part of EOTP/SBN United, allowing the readers to continue to contribute their thoughts, links and comments per usual.
Mobile and Tablet formats will also experience a new look
