Canadiens have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with forward Ryan White (2013-14).

Earlier in the week, Ryan White was the only restricted free agent that elected to go to salary arbitration, but as I thought would happen, he signed for a year before needing to go there.
Here’s what I said when White elected to go for arbitration:

Lots of contracts are signed between a player opting for arbitration and the actual arbitration date, even if it goes there, won’t get much.

Financial terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed, but expect them to be between $800K-950K.
UPDATE: White has signed for just $700K for the 2013-14 season, excellent value.
Ryan White remains the sole prize of the Canadiens’ 2006 draft, and has developed slowly into a very effective 4th line player. He will be battling it out with players like the recently signed Gabriel Dumont for playing time next year.
