Canadiens vs Flyers game thread

After two strong wins on the weekend, the Habs come into tonight’s game against the Flyers on somewhat of a roll. Dale Weise, Max Pacioretty and David Desharnais combined for 12 points on the weekend, firing up 4 goals and 8 assists; P.K. Subban had 3 assists on Saturday against the Devils, and Tomas Plekanec notched 2 goals.

Tonight, the Habs face the Flyers who are without goaltender Steve Mason after he sustained a lower-body injury during a TV timeout on Sunday against the Washington Capitals. With Mason out, the Habs have a chance to push their current winning streak to three games, and if they do so, it will be the seventh time this season the Habs have gone on a winning streak of three games or more.

The Flyers are still very much a threat despite the injury to Mason. Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek are one of the best forward duos in the league, having combined for 5 points in the two games played against the Habs this season, all assists, Voracek with 3, and Giroux with 2.

The teams hit the ice at 7:30 PM EST.
