Canadiens vs Bruins game thread

The Habs and Bruins will meet tonight for their fourth and final regular season game. The Habs have once again dominated the season series, winning three of three, and are 9-1-0 against the Bruins over their last ten regular season games. After exploding with six goals last night, the Canadiens are seeking to turn their sights on a Bruins team that has been less teddy-bear-like over their last twelve games, going 9-2-1 over a stretch that has them back in the middle of the playoff mix.

Zdeno Chara spent the month of November injured and missed the last two games between the Habs and Bruins – both losses for the giant defenseman’s side. He was a factor in the first game played between the two teams in October, opening the scoring in what eventually was yet another loss to the Canadiens.

The Habs were firing on all cylinders last night in preparation for tonight’s match. Meanwhile, the Bruins defeated the New York slanders 2-1 in a game where goaltender Tuukka Rask made 39 saves. The Habs are coming into Boston to play against a hot team, and they know it won’t be easy to beat the Bruins, but it sure will be fun.

The teams hit the ice at 7:30 PM EST.
