Nathan Beaulieu accepts the Ice Bucket Challenge, passes to Commodore, Thomas, Phillips

Nathan Beaulieu has joined the ranks of Sidney Crosby, Nikolai Kulemin, and Mikhail Grabovski in participating in the “Ice Bucket Challenge”. The challenge is simple enough: someone challenges you to dump a large amount of ice water on your head or you have to donate one hundred dollars to ALS research.

Beaulieu was challenged by his Hamilton and now Montreal Canadiens teammate Dustin Tokarski and needless to say Beaulieu stepped up.

While not as dramatic as the Kulemin/Grabovski video it’s good to see the Habs get involved in a bit of fun during the off season. Beaulieu named former defensive partner Mike Commodore, current Hamilton Bulldog Christian Thomas, and former Saint Johns teammate Zack Phillips to participate next. Now that the Habs have some players participating hopefully we’ll see some of the veteran players step up, because who wouldn’t want to see P.K. Subban or Brendan Gallagher take an ice shower all in the name of charity?
