After signing one defender on Monday, Montreal PWHL has announced the signing of two more defenders on Tuesday: Dominika Lásková to a two-year contract and Mariah Keopple to a one-year contract.

Many of the PWHL signings still coming in have been signed a while ago. This brings the number of defenders signed to contracts to four, as training camps open their first full week.

Lásková is the first non-North American player to have a contract with the team announced. She is one of three Czech players in Montreal’s training camp. The 26-year-old was drafted in the fourth round, 19th overall in the 2023 PWHL Draft. She is a right-handed defender.

She played last season with the Toronto Six, making this the third straight signing announced from that team. She had four goals and nine assists in 24 games last season. Before coming to Montreal, Lásková spent the start of the season with Luleå in the Swedish league, scoring one goal and five assists in 13 games.

The Czech has played 25 games at the World Championships, scoring five goals and 11 assists. She also played five games at the 2022 Olympics.

Keopple is the second undrafted free agent to sign with Montreal, joining forward Sarah Bujold. The 23-year-old is a native of Wisconsin and joins the team from Princeton University. She will be making her professional debut in the PWHL.

The left-handed defender had two goals and 13 assists in 31 games last year at Princeton where she was an alternate captain. In her NCAA career, she had 12 goals and 40 assists in 126 games.

Prior to joining Princeton, she played high school hockey at Hill-Murray school in Minnesota.

This is how the team currently looks:
