Montreal Canadiens vs Winnipeg Jets: Game Thread

A win today would see the Canadiens leapfrog Toronto and jump out of the wildcard and into a real playoff spot, but a loss combined with a Detroit win would see them just 3 points from being out of the playoffs entirely.

Winnipeg have been much improved since the long awaited sacking of Claude Noel, with Paul Maurice leading them to a 7-3-0 record in their last ten games. However they’re still six points out of a playoff spot in the West and desperate to get there.

The Habs are 7-1-0 all time against Winnipeg, outscoring them 30-14, with the only loss coming in a game where Randy Cunneyworth scratched both Subban and Eller. In the 7 games including those players, Montreal has outscored Winnipeg 30-10.

Puck drop is at 1:00 PM at the Bell Centre.
