After three days of scrimmages for the team split in four groups, they will combine into two groups for the team’s annual Red-White scrimmage at the Bell Centre. It will be the first time the team will take to the ice in their main rink, and the first time that thousands of fans can see the team, after the previous few days were held at the CN Sports Complex in Brossard.
With the three scrimmages in three days plus the team’s first pre-season game on Monday, there are some regulars who will sit out the game. Monday’s game will also be at the Bell Centre against the New Jersey Devils.
There are a lot of players who will look to make a good impression as there is a battle for spots at both the NHL and AHL levels of the depth chart.
The game will be two 30 minute periods. The first 25 of each period will be running time, with the final five minutes being stopped time. There will be a five-minute three-on-three period after the game regardless of the score. If the game is tied, then a shootout will take place.
