Montreal Canadiens recall Noah Juulsen and Charlie Lindgren from AHL

The Montreal Canadiens have recalled D Noah Juulsen and G Charlie Lindgren from the AHL’s Laval Rocket this afternoon.

Lindgren has been called up as an emergency recall meaning that Carey Price is out for at least the short term after taking a shot to the head yesterday in Philadelphia and missing today’s practice.

Lindgren has spent most of the season with the Laval Rocket of the AHL, posting a 8-14-9 record with a 3.18 GAA and .891 save percentage. He played eight NHL games with Carey Price injured, posting a 3-4-1 record, 2.43 GAA and .924 save percentage.

Juulsen, the team’s first-round selection in 2015 (26th overall) started the season with an injury after playing one pre-season game. He has one goal and five assists in 31 AHL games. This will be his first NHL recall. It is his first professional season.

He will join Victor Mete, who was his defence partner during Team Canada’s World Junior camp last year. Mete was eventually cut.

Juulsen is replacing Jakub Jerabek who was traded earlier today.
