Montreal Canadiens lineup vs. Capitals: Jesperi Kotkaniemi slides back in, Ward and Vejdemo debut
A new look lineup will be on the ice in Quebec City, including a pair of debuts for Habs forwards.
After their 5-2 loss to the Florida Panthers on Wednesday night the Montreal Canadiens announced their roster for a game against the Washington Capitals in Quebec City.
Both Joel Ward and Lukas Vejdemo will make their Montreal Canadiens debut as they challenge the defending Stanley Cup champions.

Matthew Peca will suit up once more after a standout game against the Panthers, and on his wing will be the ageless PTO Joel Ward and Michael Chaput. The rookie Jesperi Kotkaniemi also draws back in alongside Charles Hudon and Artturi Lehkonen, a line that could very well do damage if given the time and space.

Tatar-Danault-Gallagher;
Hudon-Kotkaniemi-Lehkonen;
Chaput-Peca-Ward;
DLR-Vejdemo-Alain.
Lukas Vejdemo will handle the fourth line minutes with Alexandre Alain and Jacob de la Rose, and all three players will be looking to impress with a spot opened up by Nicolas Deslauriers injury.
On defence the pair of Czech defenders in David Sklenička and Michal Moravčík will enter the lineup, taking over spots that were previously occupied by Victor Mete and Noah Juulsen.

After both Carey Price and Antti Niemi played last night it will be Charlie Lindgren starting for the Canadiens with Michael McNiven serving as the back up.
