After two days off following their final game of the regular season on Wednesday, the Montreal Canadiens had their first practice of the post-season on Saturday morning at the Bell Sports Complex.
With no more salary cap, and five days before the first game of their first-round playoff series against the Toronto Maple Leafs, we may start to get a look at how they may line up for that game.
Notably, the practice marked the full return of Brendan Gallagher, Phillip Danault and Carey Price who seem to be good to go for the playoff opener.
It appears the extras are Michael Frolik, Jesperi Kotkaniemi, Cole Caufield, and Jon Merrill. When it comes to the lineup, it should be noted that there’s a lot of time before game one.
