Montreal Canadiens announce seven cuts from training camp

Having invited 61 players to participate in training camp, the Montreal Canadiens had whittled their roster down as pre-season was set to start. After their game on Thursday night, the team announced a cut of seven more players.

The seven players let go are:

Jeremiah Addison, who had been slated to begin his professional career with the Laval Rocket in October, was also forced to miss the training period entirely after sustaining a shoulder injury that required surgery. He is out indefinitely as he recovers.

The Canadiens also lost Noah Juulsen to a foot injury just as pre-season started.

That leaves 44 players remaining at training camp. Those still with the team for at least the first pre-season game on Monday are:

A selection of these players will be heading to Ottawa as the Canadiens visit the Senators on Saturday night.
