As was widely expected after Wednesday’s practice, the Montreal Canadiens have officially activated defenceman Jordan Harris from injured reserve and have sent Emil Heineman to the Laval Rocket to make room.

Harris has been injured since November 18, and will be expected to play on Thursday in Carolina against the Hurricanes. He has three assists in 16 games this season.

Harris was paired with Northeastern teammate Jayden Struble in practice. Fellow Northeastern alum Cayden Primeau will get the start in goal for the Canadiens.

Heineman played two NHL games during his recall and did not get a point. He will now join the Rocket for their three games in three day stretch to close out the 2023 portion of their season. The Rocket had Lias Andersson and Sean Farrell back for their last game, so they are finally starting to get close to full strength.

The Rocket play in Belleville today before returning to Laval for two games on Friday and Saturday.
