This is where having a full time job sucks for many of us here at EOTP, and fans of the Montreal Canadiens. You have to wait until your shift is over before you catch up on all of the training camp news. Suffice to say, my lunch was spent reading Twitter updates on my Blackberry.
Today’s mini-game was a 4-2 Team C win over Team B, with a hat trick from Gabriel Dumont, and P.K. Subban appeared in his first scrimmage of the camp. Subban’s appearance brought the crowd to its feet, and he laid out a hit on Ian Schultz and assisted on a goal by Nathan Beaulieu.
The noted player du jour though was Brock Trotter, who has shown he learned a lot during his year in the KHL and is featured in pieces from canadiens.com, CJAD, and Marc Antoine Godin
A total of 11 camp attendees have injuries in one form or the other, and with the Habs going on a stretch of six preseason games in seven days, Jacques Martin made only a slight trim to the roster today.
Forwards Dustin Walsh and Étienne Brodeur, defenseman Darren Dietz and goaltender Robin Gusse were sent back to their respective collegiate or junior teams. Defenseman Jordon Southorn was also released, leaving the camp with 59 players.
And the Habs play a preseason game tomorrow against the Dallas Stars!! Ex-Habs Michael Ryder and Mike Ribeiro are confirmed to be in the lineup tomorrow night at the Bell Centre.
According to HIO, this is the lineup for tomorrow:
Goaltenders: Carey Price and Nathan Lawson
Defensemen: Alexei Yemelin, Raphael Diaz, Hal Gill, Jarred Tinordi, Yannick Weber, Jeff Woywitka
Forwards: Erik Cole, Alain Berger, Michael Blunden, Michael Cammalleri, Andreas Engqvist, Andrei Kostitsyn, Dany Massé, Aaron Palushaj, Tomas Plekanec, Ian Schultz, Brock Trotter and Brian Willsie.

The rumors can now be put aside, as Dave Stubbs confirmed via Twitter that Carey Price has switched to RBK for this season.

Congrats to Conor McKenna, who will be the host of the Habs post-game show on The Team 990. Tony Marinaro will join him on weekday home games.
