Michel Therrien confirms Montreal's top six forwards to start the season

Therrien divulged his top six at the golf tournament this morning.

Canadiens coach Michel Therrien spoke to Tony Marinaro this morning at the annual golf tournament, and in the process revealed his plans for Montreal's top six forwards.

At first glance, it's definitely an interesting group of talent and work ethic.

The Max Pacioretty, Alex Galchenyuk, Brendan Gallagher line is guaranteed to create havoc in the opponent's defensive zone, whereas the Andrew Shaw, Tomas Plekanec, Alex Radulov line has the potential to be both defensively responsible and threaten to hit the score sheet on most nights.

Of course, Therrien was quick to specify that these are the combinations he wants to start with, and seeing as no NHL coach keeps his lineup intact throughout the season, don't be surprised if changes occur sooner rather than later. There's also the possibility that a rookie like Artturi Lehkonen may make some noise at training camp, and force Therrien to reconsider his top six.
