IceCaps Player of the Week: Christian Thomas
After being held off the scoresheet in the opening week of the season, Christian Thomas exploded offensively for the IceCaps. With five points in two games against the Rochester Amerks, he led the charge in an offensive outburst for the IceCaps, who tallied eleven goals this weekend.
Thomas kicked off his week with an incredible wrist shot on Saturday, and then followed that up with a beautiful display of hand-eye coordination. Not content with a two goal game, the speedy winger notched a pair of assists, and another goal the following night in a rematch against Rochester.

Charles Hudon: It’s looking a lot like last year for the IceCaps star forward, as he registered four assists this weekend.
Bud Holloway: With T.J. Hensick gone, the IceCaps needed a veteran forward to rack up the points, and Holloway has been exactly that. With one goal and four assists on the week, he currently leads the team in scoring.
Angelo Miceli: After an impressive first week, Miceli played only one game this week, where he recorded only a single shot.
Mark Barberio: It was another great weekend for the veteran rearguard, as he recorded a pair of assists in two games.
Mac Bennett: The sophomore defenseman recorded no points this week, but looked great leading breakouts this weekend against Rochester.
Daniel Carr: While he isn’t appearing in the goal column, the young sniper is collecting assists at a good rate, and he added two more over the weekend.
Jacob de la Rose: The young Swede saw limited action this weekend, as he was hurt blocking a shot on Saturday, and missed Sunday’s game.
Gabriel Dumont: The IceCaps captain put forth a fantastic effort over the weekend, but was held off the scoresheet.
Joel Hanley: It was a great week for the blueliner, as he recorded a goal and assist on Sunday against Rochester.
Brett Lernout: No points for the rookie defenseman this weekend.
Sven Andrighetto: It is impossible to keep the Swiss sniper off the scoresheet, as he recorded two goals and an assist on the weekend.
Connor Crisp: After a fisticuff-filled opening week, Crisp stuck to actual hockey this weekend. He failed to record a point, but generated four shots.
Darren Dietz: It has been a disappointing start to the season for Dietz, who failed to record any points again this week.
Morgan Ellis: Playing alongside Barberio, the young rearguard has been outstanding to start the season. Ellis recorded his first goal of the year, and notched a pair of assists, in addition to 19 penalty minutes against Rochester.
Michael McCarron: After a low key opening week, the gargantuan forward made an impact in a big way. The rookie recorded his first professional hat trick in a 6-2 win against Rochester. Showcasing a variety of skills, it was a fantastic showing from McCarron.
Nikita Scherbak: Despite his best efforts, the rookie hasn’t recorded his first professional goal yet. He did, however, manage to grab an assist on a Joel Hanley goal.
Jeremy Gregoire: The young forward continues to show tremendous defensive acumen, but did not record a point this week.
Markus Eisenschmid: After recovering from an injury, the young German started in his first two AHL games. While he recorded no points, he saw time on both the power play and penalty kill.
Dustin Tokarski: The veteran goalie continues to produce solid results for the IceCaps, as he registered a win in his only start of the weekend.
Zach Fucale: The rookie goalie got the nod in the IceCaps home opener, and responded with 31 saves and a win in his AHL debut.
