Habs practice news: Galchenyuk, Markov, Byron & Shaw skated
Some good news for the Habs on the injury front
After skating alone yesterday in Brossard as the team had the day off, Paul Byron and Andrew Shaw skated with their teammates ahead of their game against the Washington Capitals on Monday.
Also of note (perhaps more noteworthy), Alex Galchenyuk and Andrei Markov also skated in their regular jerseys after donning non-contact ones when they practiced with the team in Toronto.
At the time Michel Therrien said that Galchenyuk could return as soon as next week and, well, it is Monday.

In fact, the only injured players to miss practice were David Desharnais, Brendan Gallagher and Greg Pateryn.
It is not yet known whether any of these players will play tonight at the Bell Centre, but they are all clearly on the road to recovery, and if any of them are available to play, you should expect some roster moves to happen today. It’s worth noting that Eric Engels thinks Byron has a decent shot at being in the roster tonight.

Byron skated with the second power play unit, which also points to a return.
