Canadiens vs Capitals Game Thread, rosters, lines, start time, and how to watch

Following a long road trip, the Habs come back to Montreal on a three-game winning streak. Injuries have depleted the lineup recently, but they have been able to showcase their depth in this recent stretch of games.

Reinforcements are on the way for the Canadiens though, as a slew of players have returned to practice. Andrew Shaw, Alex Galchenyuk, Andrei Markov and Paul Byron were all present at the morning skate, wearing regular contact jerseys.

Only Byron has been confirmed ready to go for tonight’s tilt against Washington, and it’s also worth noting that Daniel Carr will be out of the lineup. Galchenyuk, Shaw and Markov remain day-to-day.

On the other side of the coin, the Capitals have won 5 straight, with their last two games being shutouts. T.J. Oshie is ruled out of tonight’s game due to an upper-body injury, whereas Tom Wilson will be in the lineup despite rumours of an injury.  Braden Holtby will most likely get the start tonight, seeing as he was recently named the NHL’s third star of the week, and has earned consecutive shutouts in his last two outings.
