Habs lines at practice: No changes versus the Islanders, Price starts

Following a solid effort versus the Rangers which saw the Habs control the majority of the shot attempts, Claude Julien decided NOT to blend his lines.

That’s right. He did not completely rip them apart. Clearly there’s going to be an adjustment period for fans when discussing line stability, albeit a good adjustment period.

As for defence, it was the same old. Although it might be time for Julien to consider splitting up the Shea Weber – Alexei Emelin combination, which has struggled mightily since the new year. Yes, I am aware I just complimented Julien’s lack of blending, whilst immediately suggesting a line adjustment afterward.

Those lines mean of course that both Sven Andrighetto and David Desharnais will be a healthy scratch once again, as well as Nikita Nesterov. Carey Price gets the start.
