Game Thread: Habs at Bruins – Let’s get it on!!!

It’s them, the team we took to three overtimes and wound up on the losing end of a seven game series. Them, the ones who eventually went on to win the Stanley Cup but who are currently 3-5-0. Them, the team from the city with the most obnoxious fans in history. Them, a team that Habs fans love to hate and we get to see them in two straight games!

So do Max Pacioretty and Zdeno Chara shake hands in the warm-up?

“I can tell you honestly the one thing we’re happy about and that would be for anybody else is that he’s healthy. As a player in the league, you don’t want to see somebody in the league end his career on an unfortunate accident but what you want to see is a player come back and be healthy. As far as that’s concerned, he’s healthy, we’ve turned the page and now it’s time to move on.” – Bruins coach Claude Julien on Max Pacioretty

Carey Price gets the call in goal, fresh off career win number 100. It would be a great time for number 101, as the Habs netminder is 0-2-0 with a 7.47 GAA in his last two regular season visits to the TD Banknorth Garden.

Claude Julien is playing cock tease with poolies, and hasn’t tipped his hand as to who starts in goal for Boston. Safe bet it’s Tim Thomas.

Thank God the game is on TSN-Habs, so I don’t have to endure an entire night of Jack Eeeeee!!! on NHL GameCenter.

Tyler Seguin is off to a great start for Boston, racking up nine points (three goals) in his first eight games.

Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid will likely get a start on the blue line, after missing four games with a neck injury.

Jacques Martin will ice the same squad that thumped the Philadelphia Flyers 5-1.

Canadiens vs Bruins coverage

More coverage of the B’s from Stanley Cup of Chowder . They now have a guy, named Dave Carigan, who throws a little culture their way with some Bruins history posts. He also does a nice job with a Friday night fights feature.
