Condon earns Molson Cup honours for January and February

Rookie netminder Mike Condon is the latest recipient of the Molson Cup for both the months of January and February. He succeeds team captain Max Pacioretty who won the award in December and continues the trend of it being a goalie dominated honour.

In the 17 games he started in the two month span Condon posted a 2.74 GAA and .904 SV% in addition to earning NHL Third Star of the Week accolades. In the week of February 28th the Habs goalie went 2-0-1 with a 1.63 GAA and .949 SV% in his three starts. Condon just narrowly beat out the red hot Alex Galchenyuk for the award finishing with ten total stars to Galchenyuk’s nine.

Condon will be presented with the award for the first time in his career when the Canadiens meet the Dallas Stars on Tuesday night in Montreal.
