It’s been a rough year for the Laval Rocket. Despite a promising start a combination of injuries and call ups derailed what looked like a great inaugural season. One of the few bright spots has been the play of veteran forward Chris Terry who, despite missing several games, is tied for the AHL scoring lead with 67 points.

For that performance Terry has been named to the AHL’s first All-Star team, after making the second team last year in St. John’s. This year, Terry represented his club at the AHL All-Star Classic for the second consecutive year, as he represented the IceCaps last year alongside Charlie Lindgren. After a dominant month of March, Terry also collected the CCM/AHL Player of the Month award after storming back to claim a share of the scoring lead with Phil Varone.
With just four games left Terry will have a chance to claim not only the scoring title, but also the goal scoring lead as well, as his 29 goals are just three behind the league leader Valentin Zykov. As for the scoring race, both Terry and Varone have four games left and it’ll likely come right down to the wire to see who claims the award as their own.
