Chris Terry, the St. John’s IceCaps leading scorer collected a major end of season accolade from the AHL today, being named to their second All-Star team.
With 27 goals and 34 assists Terry leads St. John’s in scoring by a fair amount over Charles Hudon. Terry ranks fifth overall in the goal scoring race across the league, trailing the leader Wade Megan by just four goals, despite playing in 15 less AHL games this season.
This is the third time he has been honoured this year, the first being selected to participate in the AHL All-Star challenge in Allentown, PA and he was also named AHL player of the month for his dominant February performance. His 17 powerplay goals lead the team by a massive margin. No other player on the IceCaps has more than five this year.

His strong play has also netted him 14 games with the Montreal Canadiens this year, and a contract extension for the 2017-2018 season.
The IceCaps also announced the signing of F Niki Petti to an amateur try out and an AHL contract for 2017-18. Petti was previously with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the Ontario Hockey League.
Petti had 20 goals and 29 assists this season in 51 games.
