Charlie Lindgren has been chosen to represent the United States at the 2018 IIHF World Championship.

His season came to an end on Saturday as the Laval Rocket lost their final game of the season to the Toronto Marlies. He didn’t go out without one final highlight on the 2017-18 season, making another exceptional glove save on Friday night.

Lindgren played 37 games in the AHL this season posting a rather disappointing .886 save percentage. He played a major part in getting the St. John’s IceCaps to the post-season last year, with a .914 mark in 48 games.
He also got 14 starts in the NHL this season, posting a 4-8-2 record, to go with the three wins he had in his first three games at the top level. He began his NHL career with a 5-0-0 record before he struggled along with the rest of the Montreal Canadiens as 2017-18 went on.
The Lakeville, Minnesota native had never been chosen to represent his country, so this will be his first taste of international experience.
