Charles Hudon, Victor Mete to play against Colorado

With the recall of Victor Mete from Laval, it was easy to assume there would be some lineup changes after a 4-0 loss against Boston. Claude Julien didn’t take long to implement those changes on the Canadiens road trip, making two substitutions for tonight’s game against the Colorado Avalanche.

Mete isn’t so much a surprise, as he was paired with Jeff Petry upon arriving with the team after his recall, while somewhat surprisingly he’ll be replacing Brett Kulak. Kulak of course has been paired with Shea Weber for most games since the captain’s return from the injured list this month. Mete will more than likely slide in alongside Weber or Petry, and one of Mike Reilly, Jordie Benn, or David Schlemko will bump up to the open spot on defence.

Also re-joining the lineup is Charles Hudon, who has been a healthy scratch since the end of November. He replaces Matthew Peca on the roster for tonight’s game, and will more than likely fill in his spot on the fourth line with Kenny Agostino and Michael Chaput.
