Carey Price has yet another trophy to add to his theoretical trophy case as he was named the Canadian Athlete of the Year by the Canadian Press.
Sports writers of the Canadian Press vote Montreal Canadiens goalie Carey Price as the Male Athlete of the Year.

The award is voted on by Canadian Press Editors and Broadcasters and Price came away with 53 per cent of the vote. Sprinter Andre de Grasse finished in second with 28 per cent.
Price is the first hockey player to win since Sidney Crosby in 2010 and the first Montreal Canadien to win the award since Guy Lafleur in 1977. Price is the first hockey goaltender to ever win the award.
Price won the Lou Marsh Trophy earlier in the year. His incredible 2015 where he won the Vezina, Hart, Jennings and Ted Lindsay awards and led the Canadiens to an Atlantic Division championship.
This came the year after Price helped Canada to a Gold Medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
