Possession monsters Subban and Pacioretty crushing the possession denying Leafs is probably the best kind of irony imaginable.
The Canadiens did sit back after Pacioretty’s first goal a little bit and allowed the Leafs a few good shifts, but the play so far has been solid.
A Leafs goal was called off because JVR wouldn’t let Price telescope out and save it, Leafs fans are not pleased about it, but it was the right call according to the rules. You can see in the replay that Price isn’t able to adjust his depth, which means he wasn’t allowed to make an attempt to save the puck. No goal, suckers.
