Friday Habs Links – Therrien praises Subban

Montreal Canadiens links:

– Head coach Michel Therrien took a break from his ‘tough love’ routine and complimented Subban, going as far as saying he wants Subban to make team Canada.

Peter Budaj will get the start against the Capitals. Budaj was named the starter vs the Capitals the last time the two teams met, making 25 saves on the 27 shots he faced.

– Eric Engels opined on Andrei Markov, Ryan White and the oft maligned Tyler Myers

– According to a few sources, the Habs have offered minor league player Jack Nevins a two way contract. (French)

– Ottawa has requested to play Montreal in a potential outdoor game in 2017. It wouldn’t be the first time that the Senators rely on Habs fans to sell tickets.
