Canadiens vs. Maple Leafs Game Thread, roster, lines, and how to watch

With the preseason winding down, the Canadiens are starting to take shape. Artturi Lehkonen has found a reasonably comfortable spot on the second line with Tomas Plekanec and Alex Radulov, Daniel Carr is making his case to earn a spot on the roster, and Nathan Beaulieu finds himself playing alongside Shea Weber.

Simply put, the current state of the Canadiens seems to be quite encouraging.

Carey Price and Shea Weber will make their preseason debut, both of them returning to the Canadiens as World Cup champions.

It could also be Mike Condon’s last game in Canadiens uniform, seeing as teams have been inquiring about his availability, and the Habs have a few goaltenders that are capable of backing up Price.

Tonight the Canadiens face the Toronto Matthews’ with a relatively final roster, which gives us a good chance to evaluate the possibilities heading into the 2016-17 season.

Max Pacioretty (flu), Paul Byron (flu), and Brian Flynn (neck) will miss the game. In Pacioretty’s place on the first line we will find Sven Andrighetto, who is being given a prime opportunity to prove his worth before the Habs are forced to make their final cuts.
