Canadiens vs. Flyers: Game thread, rosters, lines, and how to watch

The Montreal Canadiens are heading to the city of brotherly love and at least this time there’s no Super Bowl parade. The Habs losing streak started in Philadelphia on February 8, the same day the city celebrated their first Super Bowl championship.

The Canadiens have a slightly different look than the last time they played the Flyers. Phillip Danault is back, making his return from a concussion suffered at the hands of a Zdeno Chara slap shot.

The team will also have Nicolas Deslauriers back in the lineup after being out for two games, fresh off of his contract extension. Logan Shaw and Nikita Scherbak are out. Shaw as a healthy scratch and Scherbak is back in the AHL to make room for Danault.

Jonathan Drouin and Max Pacioretty will once again play together with Artturi Lehkonen on their right. Danault will play between Alex Galchenyuk and Charles Hudon.

Carey Price (15-22-5, 2.98 GAA, .904 sv%) starts for the Canadiens after relieving Antti Niemi on Saturday.

For the Philadelphia Flyers, they are dealing with a myriad of injuries. Wayne Simmonds is expected to be out 2-3 weeks and their goaltending depth was hit hard as well. Michal Neuvirth and Brian Elliott are also hurt forcing the team to trade for Petr Mrazek from the Detroit Red Wings.

Mrazek will not be starting tonight, that will go to rookie Alex Lyon (1-1-0, 3.27 GAA, .895 sv%).

The Flyers are currently tied with the New Jersey Devils for the final Metropolitain division playoff berth and top Wild Card. They are six points clear of the second Wild Card team, the Carolina Hurricanes.

Puck drop is at 7:00 PM EST / 4:00 PM PST
