Canadiens vs. Capitals: Game thread, roster, lines, and how to watch

The Montreal Canadiens take to the Bell Centre ice tonight in their second match of the pre-season, hosting the Washington Capitals in the first of back-to-back games.

Jonathan Drouin and Max Pacioretty will highlight tonight’s Canadiens lineup. The Capitals haven’t brought maky stars on the trip, but the ones who did arrive in Montreal are superstar talents. Alex Ovechkin and centreman Evgeny Kuznetsov will be taking a regular shift while the coaching staff will be monitoring a few of the less experienced players in the system.

It will be interesting to see how the pairing of Victor Mete and Shea Weber handles Ovechkin’s line should they end up on the ice together. Charles Hudon also gets a chance to build on a good stretch of performances to keep himself in the running for a roster spot.
