Canadiens vs Rangers Game 6 Thread

Shake off that rust because here comes Prust!

Lots of lineup changes tonight! Let’s start out with the easiest ones first. John Moore is out, he’s suspended for his hit on Dale Weise and will miss two games – so he isn’t coming back in this series. Raphael Diaz will more than likely take his spot in the lineup. Let’s hope Diaz and McDonagh aren’t factors in tonight’s game because we’ll never hear the end of it.

The other part of the Moore equation is that Dale Weise is now out. No word on how long he’s out for, only that it’s a body injury and that he’s out for tonight.

Brandon Prust returns to the lineup tonight as well. He’s slotted in for the third line alongside Bourque and Eller. With the way those two are playing I cannot believe that this is the Canadiens’ third line. I also don’t see the benefit of saddling them with Prust (on his off wing), but what’s the alternative Thomas Vanek? Does he deserve promotion off the fourth line?

Alexei Emelin didn’t take part in the morning skate, so smart money is on Beaulieu remaining in the lineup and skating alongside Bouillon. Risky pairing, but certainly helped the Habs transition game in Game 5.

Finally Carey Price took shots today creating speculation that he will start in tonight’s game. I don’t see it happening. But I’ll keep you updated on any developments. What do you think? Does Price make his return tonight?
