After three straight losses, Dominique Ducharme has gone to the storage closet at the Bell Centre and blown the dust of Michel Therrien’s old blender, whipping up a new batch of lines and defence pairings. Paul Byron is on the top line with Tomas Tatar and Phillip Danault. Jake Evans gets promoted from fourth-line duty to play with Nick Suzuki. We see the reunification of Joel Edmundson and Jeff Petry, which means Shea Weber will get a rare turn with Brett Kulak. Meanwhile, Xavier Ouellet looks set to be Alexader Romanov’s partner tonight, despite a solid debut in that slot from Otto Leskinen on Saturday.

The Canadiens will certainly provide a different look for the Maple Leafs, but only once the game starts will we see if the new changes were for the better. Step one is preventing the Leafs from doing what they want in the offensive zone, and then we’ll see what the new trios have to offer.
