So does the Montreal Canadiens impression of a 40-year-old virgin continue tonight against the Atlanta Thrashers?

First off..
Just spill the beans or STFU: Nothing like Boston media stirring the pot. Today it goes to ESPN Boston and NHL correspondent Jimmy Murphy, who had a few tweets on Monday, noting what a few members of the Boston Bruins “said” to him.
– “one Bruin today when I asked him if he would like to see Habs in first rd? ‘Unless we finish first, we won’t.'”
– “Another Bruin told me he’d rather Rangers than Habs to avoid ‘the circus of Montreal-Boston’ “
When confronted by others as to who made the remarks, Murphy merely replied, “For all asking me which Bruins said the quotes on Habs I tweeted, if I wanted you to know, I would’ve told you originally. Carry on.”
Pretty sure if this was in Montreal, or most other NHL cities, names wouldn’t be held back. I could pretty much say “A Habs player said he ‘would rather eat shit, then talk to Jimmy Murphy’ ,” and it would be pretty much the same premise, strictly hear-say.
Then again perhaps after Mark Recchi’s grilling, he felt it better to protect the players he covers.
The smartest tweet he stated were actually his own words, “With what happened in Boston, and slump Habs are in, they have built-in motivation now to redeem themselves. Bad 1st rd opponent for Bruins.”

Stats wizard Chris Boucher has the breakdown of Saturday’s loss to the Washington Capitals.
He’s also done some analysis of prospects Mac Bennett and Greg Pateryn, who are defensive partners for the Michigan Wolverines. The Wolverines will face two more Canadiens prospects, in Danny Kristo and Michael Cichy, when Michigan faces North Dakota in the NCAA Frozen Four Semi-Final next Thursday. Another defense prospect, Scott Kishel, is in the other semi playing for the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
Accolade for Bulldogs captain: Hamilton Bulldogs captain Alex Henry has been named team’s winner of the IOA/American Specialty AHL Man of the Year award, for his outstanding contributions to the Hamilton community during the 2010-2011 season.
Bulldogs sign Hobey Baker candidate: The Bulldogs also announced Monday that the signed Hobey Baker finalist Paul Zanette to an amateur tryout contract. To clarify, and ATO in the AHL os a contract by previously amateur players ie: graduating college seniors and players finishing juniors. There is no set number of games on these contracts. Any player on an AHL ATO must be released from his contract before he can sign in the NHL. In other words, he is Bulldogs property, and technically not part of the Canadiens organization.
