Much thanks to Francis B for pointing this gem out!

“Un jeu si simple” (“A Simple Game”) is a 1965 short film documentary on the Montreal Canadiens by Quebec film maker Gilles Groulx. It perfectly captures the era of 1960’s hockey and what it mean to people. The cinematography is absolutely amazing as you’ll see. Breathtaking stuff. The National Film Board clip runs 29:45.

Included in the documentary you will see many highlights of Original Six games, players such as Beliveau, the Pocket Rocket, John Ferguson and Lou Fontinato, who’s devastating neck injury is featured in one sequence.
