Alex Galchenyuk and Brendan Gallagher obviously became fast friends, and they sure seem to enjoy goofing off together.
Galchenyuk also posted a video of Vladimir Tarasenko doing punishment push ups for losing to Nail Yakupov in a game of NHL13.
But it wasn’t all schadenfreude for Gally, he lost to Nail (presumably in a game of billiards) later in the night and had to do some punishment push ups of his own.
One of the great things about social media is that we get to see the personality behind these players, instead of the usual hockey interviews where players are trained to say nothing at all. Guys like Yakupov, Galchenyuk, and Subban are on the cusp of a change in the sport, in my opinion. Players are more outgoing and less boring. It’s something we as fans should embrace.
