Montreal Canadiens news and notes:

  • Today’s game in Quebec City will be a homecoming of sorts for another new (and super exciting) Hab, Alexander Radulov [Canadiens.com]
  • The first in CBC’s instalments of NHL teams’ season previews is on none other than vos Canadiens. I believe their nightmare scenario is meant to be in jest. [CBC Sports]
  • Brendan Gallagher continues his Monday segments with the boys on The Morning Show, talking leadership, pressure and how he and Paul Byron don’t see eye to eye. On the Blue Jays’ celebration. [TSN 690]
  • The Habs are counting on Carey Price and added leader Shea Weber to get them to the playoffs this season. The two players involved in the trade that shook the earth on June 29 are vastly different yet had the same number of points last season. [AP]
  • Speaking of those two guys, Therrien would not mind seeing them play the last pre-season game on Thursday against the Leafs

  • Former Canadien and now Buffalo Sabre Josh Gorges talked about being with Shea Weber when he heard the big news, and how no team who trades for Weber can lose. [La Presse]
  • Habs fans seem unanimous on Artturi Lehknonen, in a very good way — looks like Therrien might agree. He will play with Radulov and Tomas Plekanec tonight. [Journal de Montreal]
