The 2015-16 season is probably the only hockey season that has made me question my existence as a hockey fan.
Why do we do it? When it’s good, it makes sense. When it’s bad, shouldn’t we just turn away and not put ourselves through the suffering? Is such loyalty to a sports team futile?
So many deep things to ponder… I’ll narrow it down to three questions to make it easier.
What’s the point?
Why do we suffer?
It’s not worth getting so worked up over… Aren’t we all just imperfect humans anyway? I mean, isn’t it a good thing to show a little empathy?
Come to think of it, there might still be a chance to get something out of this season.
