All four teams will survive the round-robin portion of the tournament following Peterborough’s win last night. What’s at stake on Wednesday is a bye to the semifinal. The winner of tonight’s contest joins Quebec at a 2-1 record, the loser matches the Petes’ 1-2 mark, and plays Peterborough in the tiebreaker tomorrow night.
Tournament points leader Logan Stankoven will be trying to give the host city that elevated standing and a better shot at winning the tournament. The WHL champion Thunderbirds will be looking to show why they emerged as the best team from that section in the playoffs.
