2019 IIHF World Championship schedule: May 13, 2019

Group A Preliminary Games

10:15 AM ET: Finland vs USA

Two of the favourites in Group A will be facing off, but while the Americans fell to Slovakia, Finland was able to avoid the upset. If Finland is able to get the win in this one, they are well on their way to getting the top seed in Group A after already beating Slovakia and Canada. An American win will open things up.

The game will be shown on TSN 1/4 and RDS in Canada and NHL Network in the USA.

2:15 PM ET: Canada vs Slovakia

Canada rebounded as expected against Great Britain, but need to stay focused against a Slovakia team that will have the crowd behind them and will beat any team that takes them lightly. If Canada is to have a chance to win the group, they will need to win this one. Slovakia, for their part, will want to get any points they can to get to the quarterfinals. Carter Hart had the shutout on Sunday for Canada.

The game will be shown on TSN 1/4/5 and RDS in Canada and NHL Network in the USA.

Group B Preliminary Games

10:15 AM ET: Russia vs Czech Republic

Both of teams beat up on Norway, but the Czechs have an impressive win against Sweden and another one against Russia will make them the front runner of the group. Russia beat Norway and Austria so far, and this is their biggest test to date. Alex Ovechkin is still looking for his first goal of the tournament.

The game will be on TSN 5 in Canada.

2:15 PM ET: Norway vs Sweden

Sweden bounced back from their opening loss against the Czech Republic with a huge win against Italy and will look to keep it going against Norway. The Norwegians are looking for some kind of momentum they can bring into their final round robin games as they have not had an easy schedule to start.

The game will be on TSN 3 in Canada.

All games shown on TSN will be streamed on TSN Go in Canada, but it requires a subscription to TSN.
