World Hockey Championship semifinal schedule

It is down to four teams. Let’s take a look at the matchups.

Semifinals

9:15 AM ET: Finland vs Russia

It’s kind of a shame that these two teams ended up in the same side of the draw because these two teams are two of the top teams in the tournament. If it wasn’t for a 3-0 to the Czech Republic in their opener before Russia was at full strength, these would be the two group winners. It will be interesting to see Alex Ovechkin and Patrik Laine in what could be the present against the future in NHL snipers. The game will be shown on TSN1/3/4/5 in Canada.

1:15 PM ET: USA vs Canada

This is a rematch of both teams opening game. The USA, led by Auston Matthews, scored the only American goal in regulation and the shootout winner. They will need more of the same to knock off Canada, who beat them in their first meeting. The Americans are a very young team and appeared to have found their sweet spot in this tournament. Keith Kinkaid, who took the starting job from Mike Condon, allowed five goals to Canada in the round robin. The game will be shown on TSN1/3/4/5 in Canada.

All games will be streamed here (subject to geo-blocking). TSN Go will be streaming all of the games as well in Canada.
